I'm a user experience entrepreneur. It's a rather grand-sounding title, but in reality it reflects exactly what I do: I work with companies who require senior-level UX support, filling skill gaps and providing strategic help and advice to the company.
I started out as a management consultant at Accenture, switched to working with top London digital agencies as an information architect, then founded my own user experience and usability consultancy in 2005.
I've never looked back.
In the 13 years I've been working online, I've helped some of the world's largest brands establish and improve their online offerings.
I now tend to work most with funded internet startups: I like helping fellow web entrepreneurs transform an idea or vision into a detailed product strategy, definition and user experience. My work is often used to support early stage and Series A funding rounds.
One of the companies I worked with over a period of two years, recently closed a $3.4 million Series A funding round. I'm also a UX mentor at the London branch of Wayra (Telefonica's incubator) and a 'guru' contributing to London's Tech Meetup Guru programme.
